AFFORDABLE HOUSING UNDER DEVELOPMENT

Centre/Wise/Lamartine
Combining vacant city-owned land with a former privately owned building on the corner of Centre and Lamartine, the JPNDC will develop 30 affordable rental units plus new retail and office space. Anticipated construction start: Spring 2008.

Jackson Square Revitalization Initiative
A partnership among JPNDC, Urban Edge, Hyde Square Task Force, Gravestar and Mitchell Properties to transform Jackson Square with 429 new homes, a youth and family center, retail space, a new plaza, and pedestrian-friendly improvements. Estimated construction start for first phase: 2009.

Blessed Sacrament Church and parish properties
Redevelopment by JPNDC and New Atlantic Development Corporation of the closed Blessed Sacrament parish with 118 units of housing at a range of affordability levels, plus retail and community space. Estimated construction start: Summer 2008.

Families excluded from the private market have become homeowners on Lamartine Street thanks to affordable housing development by the JPNDC.
