FAMILY-BASED CHILDCARE

By investing in the people who care for children, we are increasing the supply of affordable, high-quality education for our community’s youngest members.

The JPNDC Family Childcare Program trains and supports home-based childcare providers to become early childhood education professionals and to run successful businesses.

TRAINING IN FAMILY CHILDCARE

Trainings to help neighborhood residents become licensed home-based childcare providers, or to help providers build their skills as childcare professionals.

Are you looking for childcare?

JPNDC childcare providers are trained as early childhood care and education professionals.  In addition to training, we provide ongoing support and access to resources so that neighborhood children receive high quality care.

Subsidized slots and TANF childcare vouchers are available to eligible parents whose children receive care from providers affiliated with the JPNDC.

Contact us if you are looking for referrals to childcare providers in Jamaica Plain, Roxbury, Roslindale or Hyde Park.

Other resources in childcare

The Massachusetts Office of Child Care Services (http://www.qualitychildcare.org) provides further information on licensing regulations and other sources of support and training for childcare providers.  It also offers referrals to other quality childcare providers.

Approximately 100 children each year benefit from the high quality care and education they receive in family settings from JPNDC childcare professionals.
